Online Casino - Craps
Craps is a popular casino game which has players bet on the outcome of dice roll in a series, or a single roll. Craps have become a wildly popular table game in many casinis, mainly due to their social aspect - players are betting on the outcome of another player's dice roll. This aspect can bring in a sense of Comradeship to the table.
There are 2 variations of the carps game, 'Bank', which is against the casino and 'Street', which is against other players. We'll focus on the Bank variation of the game.
The game of Craps originated as early as the crusader's time in the name 'Hazard', only to be influenced later by the french who in turn introduced this game to New Orleans in a later time. The modern day popular American Craps game has evolved from from the introduction of the game when New Orleans was French colony.
First, We'll go over the different types of bets available in Craps
Craps - The Bets
The Shooter (The player rolling the dice) will be required to make either a Pass-line bet, or a Don't-pass bet.
The Pass-line bet is the most basic bet in Craps. This bet is whether the Shooter will hit a 7 or 11, or if he established a point. An outcome of 2, 3, or 12 will lose this round. If a point is established, the shooter will try to hit that point again before hitting a 7, which will end the round. This bet win 1:1.
The Don't Pass-line bet is essentially a bet against the shooter. In this case a player will bet that the shooter will won't successfully roll the dice.
Next, we have Pass Odds. If a point is set by the shooter, pass-line bettors can bet on the point to gain additional profit if the point is hit.
A Don't pass odds bet is once again, betting against the shooter hitting the point. In this case the player is betting that the shooter will hit a 7.
Next, we have a Come bet. This bet is played in 2 rounds. If a 7 or 11 turn up in the first round, this bet wins. 2, 3 and 12 will lose. If a point is established, the player can then add odds to the bet. The second round is won if the shooter hits the come bet unless a 7 is hit first.
A Don't come bet, is the opposite of the come bet. In this bet, if the round is lost, the don't come bet wins. If a point is established, the bettor will then hope for a 7 before the point is hit.
Craps - Single Roll Bets
Next, we have single roll bets. These bets revolve around only one of the shooter's dice rolls.
These bets are located usually at the center of the table and offer better payoffs.
These bets include:
2 – This bet is won if the shooter hits a 2.
3 - This bet is won if the shooter hits a 2.
2 or 12 – This bet win if a 2 or 12 is hit.
Any Craps – This bet wins if a 2, 3 or 12 is hit.
Yo – This bet is won if the shooter hits 11.
12 – This bet win if the shooter hits a 12.
C & E – this is bet on both that the player will hit craps, and that he will hit 11.
Field – This bet wins if 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11 or 12 is hit. The different numbers offer different payoffs.
The horn – This bet is comprised of 4 different bets, on 2, 3, 11 and 12. The different outcome pays off differently.
Any Seven – This bet wins if the shooter hit a 7.
Whirl or World – This bet is similar to the Horn, but it also includes the 'Any Seven' bet in it as well.
On the Hop – This bet is on a single roll, on different combinations of the dice.

Craps - Multi-Roll Bets
Next, We'll go over multi-roll bets. These bets may require a series of rolls before they can be completed.
These bets include:
The Easy Way – This bet wins if the shooter will roll a 4, 6, 8 or 10 before he hits a 7, but with dice not being identical. For example, the shooter rolled a 8 that's comprised of a 5 and 3.
The Hard Way – This bet wins if the Shooter rolls out a 4, 6, 8 or 10 before a 7, with the dice comprised of the same number. For example, the shooter hit an 8 comprised of 4 and 4.
Place and Buy – In this bet, the player will bet on any of the point numbers and tell the dealer to 'buy' the number, in hope that they will turn up before the Shooter will roll a 7. This bet will be continually paid off until the round is completed.
Lay – This is the opposite of the 'Place and Buy' bet. In this bet the player bets that a 7 will turn up before the number that is 'Laid'.
Next, We'll see how to actually play Craps
Craps - The Rules
The rules of Craps are fairly simple. It is played by one or more players against the casino. The casino may set the odds and payouts. Players will take turns rolling the dice in a clockwise rotation, when the person rolling the dice will be called the 'Shooter'.
The game itself is played in rounds and each round consists of a series of rolls. The first roll of every new round is called the 'come out roll' and the goal in this roll is to establish a point. If the rolls turns out a 2, 3 or 12, the players all lose. This is called 'Craps'. If the outcome was a 7 or 11, the pass-line bets have won. This is called 'Natural'. The shooter will continue rolling until 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 will turn up, or until he will lose. Once those numbers are hit, they will become the established point. At this point, the dealer will mark the point with an 'On' sign (any one of 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10). the Shooter will continue rolling for a 7 or the marked point. If the point is hit, the pass-line will win, if a 7 is hit, the round ends and is lost. At this point, the dice will move on to the next player.
